The year without a conference is a pity. We consider this as an opportunity to add new benefits to our AJBS members. Thank you for all your support and interest. Below are three initiatives. If you have further ideas, we would be happy to hear from you.
Mentor program and Asian Business & Management special issue
Next year, we plan to issue a special issue in cooperation with Asian Business & Management on “Japanese business”. Asian Business & Management is a Palgrave Macmillan journal with a JCR impact factor of 2.192 and partner of AJBS. Along with this initiative, we will offer a mentor program, where experienced researchers help junior/inexperienced researchers to prepare papers for the special issue. All contributors to AJBS 2020 conference, those who are interested in submitting a paper to 2021 AJBS conference in Miami, and AJBS are welcomed to apply as mentees. For further information, please feel free to contact Carol Reade.
Teaching resources
Many AJBS members teach Japanese business and/or use cases on Japanese business. We are planning to create a platform to share relevant teaching materials amongst our members. Teaching material may include syllabi, case studies, video material, podcasts on Japanese business and related topics. We invite our members to join and share. We will use the LinkedIn group as a platform.
Networking via LinkedIn group
AJBS will start a new LinkedIn group exclusively for AJBS members. This group can serve as a networking platform for AJBS members. We will post relevant information, e.g. about mentor program, special issue, and links to teaching resources etc. there. Members can also post updates there.
